Here are tonight's matchups. Sound off with your opinions below

Main Card
Diego "Nightmare" Sanchez vs. Clay "The Carpenter" Guida
Joe "Daddy" Stevenson vs. Nate Diaz
Chris "Lights Out" Lytle vs. Kevin Burns
DaMarques Johnson vs. James Wilks (Welterweight TUF Contract Fight)
Ross Pearson vs. Andre Winner (Lightweight TUF Contract Fight)

Preliminary Card
Melvin "The Young Assassin" Guillard Vs. Gleison Tibau
Nick Osipczak Vs. Frank Lester
Jason Dent Vs. Cameron Dollar
Brad Blackburn Vs. Edgar Garcia
Mike Ciesnolevicz Vs. Tomasz Drwal

My Picks

I like Diego Sanchez to overwhelm Clay Guida. Diego is the bigger fighter, more powerful fighter, and has fought tougher competition from his days in the Welterweight division. Sanchez by TKO

Nate Diaz will submit Joe Stevenson, which makes it 3 consecutive loses for "Daddy". Will the UFC cut the TUF 1 alumni fighter?

It pains me to say it, but DaMarques from the USA will win the Welterweight fight. He has looked impressive throughout the season, but upsets can happen (remember Amir vs. CB from season 7)

I like Andre Winner to submit Ross Pearson.

Finally, Kevin Burns beats Chris Lytle by decision.

As for the prelims, I like Melvin Guillard in his lightweight comeback fight (he tested himself down at featherweight), Frank Lester, Jason Dent, Mike Ciesnolevicz. and Brad Blackburn

I haven't watched this season of TUF at all, but I'll be watching tonight. I really hope that Guida can beat Sanchez, but I don't know how likely that is.

I wonder if Stevenson goes down to 145 and fights in the WEC if he loses tonight?

I guess he could, since Melvin Guillard is 2 inches taller than Joe Daddy and he dropped to 145 for a brief stint. Joe Stevenson does look to have a bit thicker body type than Melvin Guillard, but it's all in the diet. We shall see...

Late post here, but liked how Sanchez fought, very strong strikes and he beat Guida to a pulp with the elbows from the bottom.I also couldn't belive his stamina, round after round, still kept his hands up and was the same speed round after round.
I wish Frank Lester gets in the UFC, this guy has so much heart and a won't quit attitude and non stop motor, really like him.

Ya I wasn't much of a fan for anybody on team USA except Frank Lester. I think he will get another shot in the UFC much like others have from previous seasons (e.g. Rob Emerson, Gray Maynard, Ben Saunders, etc)

Hope I do better with my predictions for UFC 100 in 2 weeks.
Fingers crossed for a rematch between Kenny Florian and Diego Sanchez at UFC 10_ in the near future (after Ken-Flo destroys BJ at UFC 101)

Frank Lester update

I wish Frank Lester gets in the UFC...

Just read on fiveouncesofpain.com that Frank Lester has been released from his UFC contract. Hopefully he gets some experience and we will see him down the road again.
