I had a small two-card mailday yesterday, but both cards are great additions to my collection.

The first card comes from eBay, and it is part of my efforts to upgrade my 1980s cards to high-quality graded cards. The 86/87 Topps card has the highest grade of a PSA 9, with only 19 of them receiving this grade.

Finally, the next card came as a surprise when it was offered to me by Daniel (danvincent78). I absolutely love the Ultimate Memorabilia Super Box cards, and I also have a soft spot for Scott Niedermayer, as I have had the pleasure to watch him on a regular basis for the last few seasons. So when this card was offered to me and the terms of the deal were very acceptable, I had to jump at the chance of adding this card to my collection:

Thanks for looking, and any comments are appreciated.

Quack quack quack quack quack :)

No shame in picking up a Scotty. The Gretzky isn't too shabby either :)

Two beauties Jeff. When you pick up 80's graded examples, do you have a minimun grade? Just curious... Mike

When I pick up a BGS graded card, it is no lower than a 9.5. When I pick up a card graded by PSA, it depends on the card, since some do not have a 10. So in those cases, I "settle" for a 9. I do not have any SGC or KSA cards in my Gretzky collection.
