A little project I've been working on for the past year or so is the Vintage Memorabilia set from ITGU - and being picky I've made the project especially challenging by focusing purely on the "base" silver versions as I think they look nicer than all the other parallel colours under the sun that Leaf likes to use. In the past week I've picked up two huge pieces of the puzzle - bringing me up to 82 out of 88 cards for the set.

First up, one reason for the corny title... "two" of the best to lace 'em up, Mr. Hockey and the Rocket.

And the other reason for the corny title... there were "two" cards in the set that I knew would be really tough to acquire - while many of the cards have print runs of 5, and some all the way up to 12, a handful are limited to x/4 or x/3, with the two crown jewels of the set limited to "x/two".

Months ago I thought I'd acquired the Vezina 1/2, but it apparently vanished in the mail, leaving me feeling like there was almost no hope, but lo and behold the "2/2" copy surfaced not too long ago, and is now safely in my hands. It goes nicely with the Cyclone Taylor I picked up a while back, so here they are, the "two" "x/2's"!

I'm left with 6 cards to go to complete the full set... one is x/6 and four are x/5 - difficult to be sure, but I feel like with enough patience I have at least a half-decent chance of locating them one day. The one tricky card that is now my most-wanted after knocking the Vezina off my want list is yet another Cyclone Taylor card, a quad jersey which also features Jack Adams, Frank Patrick, and Newsy Lalonde x/3. Needless to say I'd part with a non-essential organ if anyone's able to help me locate one :)
