After about 5 months of planning, drawing, buying random jersey cards, designing, printing, cutting, pasting, folding, etc., I finally completed my long-term project: a custom Book!

Even after all the careful measurements, I made a fatal error (as you will see later in the thread). Anyhow, hope you enjoy this as is =)

(Oh, and if anyone has suggestions as to how I should display this monster, please let me know!)

Seems I made the central binding too narrow...as such, the card can't completely fold together =(

Oh well, you learn from your mistakes. The next one (if there ever will be) will be better. Thanks for the look!

WOW that is an amazing custom, you can't even tell it's a custom. Even with the measuring error this custom trumps all others. Love the player selection.

While I must say I love the look of your customs, you do a great job, I am not a fan of you using other card companies designs. In my opinion it is intellectual property theft. Why don't you make up your own designs when you make them? Sure you insert your SP Home Edition onto them but even that is a rip off of the SP Authentic/Game Used logo. Why not design them from top to bottom instead of using someone else's designs?

That is a crazzzy custom!!! Beautiful card. I actually opened this thread up and thought the cards were real. Haha, should get you to make me some :)

Good question. The short answer would be: I'm working on it, possibly a set of some kind with all-original work.

For now, I really like many of the designs card companies have out there already, but know they can't include all the players I necessarily want in their sets. Also, for TTM purposes, the timing of mail-outs are so important that I can't possibly create fast enough to accommodate success for my Canucks project.

Stay tuned.

Where do you get the jersey swatches? Just cut up sweaters you have at home?

Dollar bin cards...mostly. Goren was surprisingly costly.

That is a great looking card. Kudos on taking on the challenge.

Quite the player selection. Why did you choose the guys you did?

Congrats.

Thats pretty awesome...Lee Goren played in my hometown for the SJHL's Minot Top Guns, we had him over to our house many times, very cool guy. Don't see many of his cards.
