Hey guys im curious which are the true rookies?
Seen some #/99 that are tributes?
Then there are the acetates which I believe to be the true rookies but not sure?
Are there any acetate rookies #/99?

Yup - the tributes, etc. are all not true rookies, despite being some pretty sweet cards.
 
I wonder if most people don't know this and pay top dollar for an auto patch/99 thinking its their rookie card? I'm sure there's a few, poor saps.
 
I think they missed the mark on the true rookies. I could be wrong, but if they made the top 6-10 rookies /99 and the rest /199, it would provide more "value" in the long run.

On the plus side, there will be plenty of happy collectors who will be able to afford a rookie (Teravainen for instance) since they are /299 and will be readily available for fair prices once these initial EBAY sellers realize it's not a Cup /99 rookie that should sell for $800..... :)

UD would be guilty of cannibalism if Premier had RC's /99; if you can get true RAP's /99 in Premier why spend extra on The Cup?

Until this year, The Cup had UD's only on card true RAP's and that by itself created tremendous value for The Cup.
 
I agree, true rookies in this set will be very popular among ALL collectors, highend collectors can chase for the top patches, while others can pick some decent ones for resaonble price
