Lets say, for the sake of argument, that the season is over. That means that the now famous 1/case Rookie Trade cards in UD I (lets just call it UD... and not be in denial) can not be of any of the big guns this year. So who is left?

Devil's Advocate argument on the season... that there is a post January season... wouldn't putting Yakopov (and the 2 other best rookies) as the redemption YG in series I absolutely kill series II sales? SO it is a safe bet there that Yakopov would be a regular YG...

So why are people paying out the Bettman for these redemption cards?? Best case scenario, it is a Yakupov XRC or a similar nightmare to those pre RC Pacific Draft cards from 04/05 and back....

I am sure they will be limited (and if they are YG cards, a cool SP in the set)... but I can't see them going any higher than $20.

Your opinions Please!!

It's not for a Young Gun - this is a separate insert card from the set. And they are difficult pulls as well. So when Series II hits, and it will based on who was in Series I - and when they finally settle things. There will be Young Guns for all the rookies

It's trying to bring back the rare insert - rather than just always putting in an autograph or GU piece - given the general attitude of entitlement that every auto or GU card has to be a Superstar and not a second or third tier type.

Art is on the money as confirmed by the ud brass. As for a 20 value, only time will tell but I have my doubts. If number one is Yakopov and he turns out to be the real deal, Your looking at a very sought after card.

Let's see how this plays out
