Upper Deck released basic product information and preview images for its 2009-10 NHL Series 2 hockey card set on Wednesday.

Each 24-pack hobby box will include six Young Guns Rookie Cards, two The Champions cards, two memorabilia cards, 24 Victory Update cards, one Victory Update Gold parallel and six Superstar inserts.

Every 12-box case will include one Fab Four Fabrics jersey card, one Acetate card, one Signature Sensations autograph card, six parallel cards and one Victory Update Black parallel.

Nothing really new here.
As always, UD 2 lives or dies depending on the rookie class that are in the packs
 
Yeah without a preview of who the Series 2 hit RC is, no idea how it will do. If they are smart, Duchenne will be in Series 2...
 
Oh geez, I can just picture now the 2005 Draft Class insert being Sid and Price. That'll be some big $$$ on the Bay given it's /10.
 
I like how they're doing a solid border at the bottom of the cards again. Wasn't a big fan of the floating name thing they've been doing lately.
 
I like the base card design quite a bit.

The one thing I take out of looking at the other cards -- tiny swatches. Not cool.

I don't like the regular game jersey design -- it's a vomitous mess of geometry.

The rookie threads design is pleasant, but a little too reminiscent of the 04-05 Ultimate Collection jersey inserts.
