Here's the lineup, would it have been better to see Lesnar fight, well the negative reaction from the crowd would have, but we'll still get some of that tomorrow at the weigh-ins as Kenny Florian said on Calgary radio today that he's going to be wearing some Bruins gear that should be interesting.

Really interested to see Einemo make his Octagon debut, it's just a shame it isn't five years ago. Top to bottom a solid card with a lot of bouts that could be action packed.

He's been taking part in a lot of grappling and full contact tournaments and such to keep his skills sharp in the years off. I've been waiting to see Einemo too since he was signed, and I don't think the cage rust will be all that bad.

Just a shame that the UFC thinks the 0 drawing power of Eenie Meenie and Pee Wee is a fight deserving of the main card. I still think they should've put Einemo vs. Herman back on the prelims and moved up the KSOS/Massenzio or Edwards/Stout fight to the main card. Be interested to see if Stout gets another Fight of the Night award :D
 
Weigh ins are complete...everybody made weight, though as you'll see...4 people were technically a pound over...I guess they were eating Mike Massenzio's food since he came in 4 pounds below the allowed limit :D

Massenzio took the fight a weight class above where he normally fights, and on 4 days notice. Win or lose he's getting another fight with the UFC for doing this solid. And about Einemo, the bigger issue I see is the flesh eating disease that has damaged his legs, it'll be interesting to see what if any effect that will have.
 
i am expecting this one to go down a la liddell vs. franklin where everyone thought the card stank but it was actually a decent card.

As for the public's opinion of the card, as of this afternoon there were still tickets available. If I were out there I'd be at the show for sure.
 
Just finished watching the weigh-ins: Joe Rogan was rocking a Canucks shirt. Yves Edwards offered Sam Stout some chewing tobacco (I believe) as they were staring down; Stout obliged. Maia, is going to get a huge pop tomorrow and did today as he came out in a Team Canada jersey. To combat Florian coming out in Bruins gear Diego Nunes opened his jacket to reveal a Kesler jersey (big pop). When Ken-Flo came out huge boos and Rogan said oh how dare he; good times.
 
Some of the other 12 Buck Mafia-ers were at the weigh-ins and said Nunes was rocking next season's Canucks jersey already...I wonder how he got a hold of it.

Matt, Serra looks to be pushing two bills there. I thought it was his wife who was pregnant. And I dig Shields in the Ol' Flying V.
 
Just about to get started. I cannot wait. I wanted to go out to watch but it looks like a couch night for me. Foods not as good here but the beers a very good price.

Demian Maia vs. Mark Munoz

What ever judge called it a 30 - 27 should be fired. Mark lost the first round and there is no way he should have scored a 10-9 for the first round.

Very happy for Munoz......really like the guy.

That bout could have gone either way. I would love to see the UFC to go with a sudden victory like the TUF rather then a draw. That would be sick and that was a fight that should have went an extra round.


Now, for the Stout fight..............NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

Aaron Rosa vs. Joey Beltran now that was fun to watch...I have always had a soft spot for Beltran.

looking forward to seeing Carwin 2.0 but I am a big fan fo Jr.
 
How on earth did they not stop the Carwin fight in the first round.....un freakin real. I have seen plenty of fights stopped for less. Herb Dean was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy off on that one.
 
the third judge gave the most f'ed up scores tonight. wth.

i would've scored it 10-9 maia for the 1st, 10-9 for munoz in the 2nd and a 10-10 3rd round. a draw.

jds could've finished and he was looking at herb dean when was raining on carwin but carwin was blocking some of the shots. good fight though.
 
That Stout fight proved his nickname to be accurate. That was vicious. I had it 29-28 Maia, but I predicted to my friend that Munoz would actually win the decision, and the judge that scored the fight 30-27 was Doc Hamilton. Apparently not even the worst decision on the fight card as Omigawa was robbed, at least that's what Dana tweeted in saying that he was going to give him his win bonus still. No problem with Herb Dean letting that go, Carwin was trying to, and then actually blocking some of those shots. And I credit Carwin with showing the heart to keep going.
