It's almost time everybody! The most anticipated rematch since Liddell/Couture II. Chael has really pissed off Anderson Silva. And I think Anderson is going to look to make a statement on Saturday night. Regardless of what happens though I have a feeling that it is going to be a very entertaining fight.

If you haven't checked it out yet you should definitely watch the presser from earlier today:

The Alessio/Roller fight was pretty entertaining. First time I've ever heard live play by play from a fighter in the cage.

Anyone else notice Silva wiping the vasoline all over his body from his face and eyebrows

The ref did wipe it away, how well I am not sure (was done quickly).
I did notice the constant holding/grabbing of Sonnen's shorts, the ref warned him a few times about it. In the 2nd round there was a good 6-8 seconds (camera switched view) of holding onto his shorts to avoid a takedown by Sonnen before the the ref said anything.

I was hoping for a better fight but at least there wasn't anything Sonnen could really complain about, and good for him being real at the end of the fight.

The most interesting thing was the Griffen/Ortiz post fight stuff.

Tito was ROBBED. But, i was about 10 beers in when that fight came on so maybe I missed something. Even Griffin thought he lost as he ran from the ring....AGAIN. That kid has a few screws loose. Now onto the Silva fight......they showed 3 to 4 replays and everyone looked to me to be a knee to the head. I will have to take this fight in sober and see if it still looks that way. What was the word on the Mia fight. I could not hear as it was VERY loud at the bar I was at. Someone said it was his rib but what happened.

How the hell did Cody McKenzie swing getting fine a$$ Ronda Rousey to be in his corner?

He apparently his training camp this time around between the Diaz camp and Fancy Pants Fight Team...I didn't know he was with the Diaz Bros at all this camp, but Gord (Shaboobala) told me about it on Saturday.

Yamasaki ruled the Maia victory a TKO victory; however, it looked as though he tapped out. I thought it was a broken rib or something; turns out it was a very severe muscle spasm.

The only round I gave Tito was the third. And if he hadn't gotten that knockdown I would have had it three zip for Forest. He out struck Ortiz in every round, the second and the third; really out struck him.

And the replays I was watching it looked as though the knee landed flush on the sternum of Chael.

I'll admit I was happy to see Chael embarrass himself with what is most likely the worst, most ridiculous spinning back elbow attempt ever (definitely that I've ever seen). Only to be topped by Anderson being witty and funny and completely embarrassing Chael again in the post-fight interview. Classic stuff.
