The UFC is in my neck of the woods. I won't be going; however, I am looking forward to seeing some very good fights.

Main Card (on Pay-Per-View):
-Urijah Faber (26-5; #2 Bantamweight) vs. Renan Barão (28-1; #3 Bantamweight)
-Hector Lombard (31-2-1) vs. Tim Boetsch (15-4; #6 Middleweight)
-Cheick Kongo (17-7-2) vs. Shawn Jordan (13-3)
-Brian Ebersole (50-14-1) vs. James Head (8-2)
-Chris Clements (11-4) vs. Matt Riddle (6-3)

Preliminary Bouts (on FX):
-Court McGee (13-2) vs. Nick Ring (12-1)
-Roland Delorme (8-1) vs. Francisco Rivera (8-2)
-Ryan Jimmo (16-1) vs. Anthony Perosh (13-6)
-Bryan Caraway (16-5) vs. Mitch Gagnon (8-1)

Preliminary Bouts (on Facebook):
-Antonio Carvalho (13-5) vs. Daniel Pineda (17-8)
-Mitch Clarke (9-1) vs. Anton Kuivanen (16-5)

Man, for anybody still looking for tickets, I'm sure Craigslist will be littered with cheapies on Saturday. I paid $160 for my tickets to UFC 131, and the guy beside me paid $40 on the day of.

There was also a guy outside Rose Garden last weekend trying to sell his Strikeforce tickets for $20 Considering it was lower bowl only, that was quite the steal.

Everybody made weight:

Urijah Faber (135) vs. Renan “Barao” Pegado (135)
Hector Lombard (185.5) vs. Tim Boetsch (186)
Cheick Kongo (231) vs. Shawn Jordan (250)
Brian Ebersole (171) vs. James Head (170)
Chris Clements (170) vs. Matt Riddle (170.8)
Court McGee (185.5) vs. Nick Ring (185)
Roland Delorme (135) vs. Francisco Rivera (136)
Ryan Jimmo (205) vs. Anthony Perosh (205.5)
Bryan Caraway (135.5) vs. Mitch Gagnon (135)
Antonio Carvalho (145) vs. Daniel Pineda (145)
Anton Kuivanen (156) vs. Mitch Clarke (155)

The prelims have been a lot more entertaining than I thought they'd be. Predicted a lot of decisions. Glad to be wrong on that front.

Not surprisingly the 65K "of the night" bonuses went to: Ryan Jimmo for his record tying seven second knockout; Matt Riddle for his beautiful Arm-Triangle submission, and Bryan Caraway and Mitch Gagnon for their entertaining battle on the prelims.

I was kinda hoping that the sub of the night was going to go to Bryan Caraway as he was very clever how he got it in as Joe Rogan first noticed. I had no idea until they showed the replay. The main card stunk and I was soooooooooooo stoked to see the Jordan/Kongo fight but Kongo wanted to hug all night. I was even more stoked to see the Lombard/Boetsch fight and that was a complete bust. Ebersole looked like a complete donkey out there....even his corner men were getting super pissed at him. I know the guy is a bit off on the best of days but he was not himself last night. It could have been to hin trying to cut to 155 and then being a last minute call to fight at 170. Anyway, good thing we have prelims as they were the stand out fights by a LONG SHOT.

I just have to point out that despite all the record tying business (I thought he'd beat it initially,) Rogan was forgetting Duane Ludwig's knockout was officially 6.06 seconds in the UFC record books. Ludwig was getting a bit put off on Twitter last night, but said after watching it was close enough that he'd be willing to have them give Jimmo the stopwatch treatment like he got with the Goulet fight to see who got it faster. I'm still thinking Ludwig's was faster because Jimmo and Perosh touched gloves, and then Jimmo went in for couple more shots before the ref stepped in, but jesus it was a thing of beauty. You being the MFC guy you are must have really enjoyed that Marcel :)

Crowd was popped for Ring but then the ovation got 4times louder once people saw Bret.

So was not expecting Jimmo to do that. Love the hate talk getting thrown his way after the fight for robot dancing. He does it all the time.
