UFC 152 & 154; Big Time fights in the T-Dot; and Montreal

Dana announced that dos Santos/Vleasquez II is expected to headline the fight card in September. And also said that MacDonald/Penn will most likely be the co-main on the card. That's an awesome start.

Also announced for the Montreal card: GSP/Condit, and Hendricks/Kampmann. Wow. Canada is going to be getting some great fights this year. Three shows, three title fights. Can't beat that.

Card is shaping up pretty well:

Demetrious Johnson vs. Joe Benavidez
Michael Bisping vs. Brian Stann
BJ Penn vs. Rory MacDonald
Jim Hettes vs. Marcus Brimage
Vinny Magalhaes vs. Igor Pokrajac
Mark Hominick vs. undetermined

Bart Palaszewski vs. Diego Nunes COULD be moved to this event since UFC on FX 5 has been postponed till October, and won't be in Indy any longer, which was Bart's one fight request.

Dana just announced that Rory MacDonald has pulled out of his fight with BJ Penn after receiving a large cut on his forehead.

It's looking as though they're going to fight at either 153 (in Vegas) what Penn wants, or at 154 (in Montreal) what MacDonald wants.

I loved seeing that Siyar Bahadurzada offered to donate his entire purse to charity, as well as submit to the VADA testing for the chance to fight an idol in Penn. That is awesome, unfortunately it won't happen because he doesn't have enough of a name.

Here's the updated card as it looks now. I'm sure there will be more changes. But as it stands right now this looks like 200-250K PPV very little drawing power now that BJ is off the bill.

Joseph Benavidez (16-2; #1 Flyweight) vs. Demetrious Johnson (15-2-1; #2 Flyweight)
Michael Bisping (22-4; #4 Middleweight) vs. Brian Stann (12-4; #8 Middleweight)
Jimy Hettes (10-0) vs. Marcus Brimage (5-1)
Igor Pokrajac (25-8) vs. Vinny Magalhaes (9-5)
Evan Dunham (13-2) vs. TJ Grant (18-5)
Simeon Thoreson (17-2) vs. Seth Baczynski (17-8)
Dan Miller (14-6) vs. Sean Pierson (12-6)
Cub Swanson (17-5) vs. Charles Oliveira (16-2)
Matt Hamill (10-4) vs. Roger Hollett (13-3)

It will be in Vegas....theres no way Rory has more pull then Penn.

There are unconfirmed rumors (emanating originally from Nate Quarry on MMA Uncensored) that the fight will happen at the UFC on Fox 5 card December 8. That would be a fight that could get a lot of eyes on that show. And could make Rory a pretty big star if he's able to beat Penn.
