UFC 156: Aldo vs. Edgar - Feb. 2nd

It's amazing to me how many fighters exhibit such a stunning lack of fight IQ, Lil' Nog has won this fight. Just have to wait and see if the judges screw it up.

Agree to disagree on the sub front. But it's a moot point now regardless. And because Silva doesn't want to fight the real number one contender at Middleweight (Chris Weidman) he may follow through on what he's said and sit out until the fall.

He was so close to winning the 3rd but he just did not do enough. I was actually pulling for him in this one. Great to see Overeem get KO'd. That made my night.

I thought the fifth round was closer than the third round, didn't think the third was particularly close myself.

I have no problem with any of the scorecards from the judges (very surprised). I had it 48-47 Aldo; however, Fight Metric with their scoring system had it 49-46 Aldo only giving Frankie the fourth. I had to shut off the commentary during the fourth round it was just terrible.
 
Dana just said that 10 minutes after the Main Event Anthony Pettis texted him saying he wanted to drop to 145lbs. and fight Jose Aldo.
 
I think Frankie did enough the last three to take the title. He was clearly the aggressor and landed more than Aldo, even compuscore stats show that he did that. Aldo does not have the tank for his weight division, if Edgar even hit a little bit harder he landed enough shots to likely put down Aldo. I want Frankie to get a rematch but as long as someone finally shows how overrated and overhyped Aldo is I will happy(i have a feeling pettis can do that)

Frankie may have been the aggressor, but it was not effective aggression. Aldo was stuffing his takedowns in the third and fifth, controlling where the fight was taking place. And he was landing the cleaner, harder shots in those rounds too.
 
Yeah like i said if frankie hit harder lol he is a championship round fighter he just needs to fight three rounds before his actual fight then come out and wreck some ***
