Interesting night of fights. The Sara McMann/Sheila Gaff fight strangely played out exactly like I was thinking it might, sans KO (I thought McMann was going to submit her.)

Somebody asked me earlier what I knew about Sheila Gaff (I think it was JZ?) and I responded "She'll come in off the bell and try to throw a punch." Sure enough...she just walked over trying to throw a punch, McMann took her down and that was basically it.

That was basically the best possible outcome for McMann too. I don't think she sustained any injuries and shouldn't be medically suspended. I'm guessing the next move here is to get Sarah Kaufman and McMann in together for the fall in a #1 contender's fight. I assumed Kaufman and Amanda Nunes would be fighting next in an "odd man out" type of situation (given that they're the only signed women without a fight right now) but I don't know how bad the latter's injury is, and if she's not ready till the fall, they could just do Gaff vs. Nunes in a striker vs. striker-style fight.

Pat Healy tested positive for marijuana and has lost the $130K in bonus money. The Submission of the Night bonus has been given to Bryan Caraway instead. I also read somewhere that the UFC was having Healy enter rehab, but I don't know if that's actually true or not.
