Some interesting bouts. Looking forward to see who comes out on top in the Dodson/da Silva flyweight bout as the winner will likely get the first crack at the title.

I put the start times at the bottom as well due to the West Coast delay. Not sure if the delay is going to affect anyone watching on Sportsnet in Canada.

Main Bouts (on FX and Sportsnet):
Travis Browne (13-0-1; #7 Heavyweight) vs. Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva (16-4)
Jake Ellenberger (27-6; #4 Welterweight) vs. Jay Hieron (23-5)
John Dodson (13-5) vs. Jussier “Formiga” da Silva (14-1)
Justin Edwards (7-2) vs. Josh Neer (33-11-1)

Preliminary Bouts (on Fuel TV and Sportsnet):
Jeremy Stephens (20-8) vs. Yves Edwards (41-18-1)
Michael Johnson (11-6) vs. Danny Castillo (14-4)
Dennis Hallman (51-14-2) vs. Thiago Tavares (17-4-1)
Jacob Volkmann (14-3) vs. Shane Roller (11-6)
Bart Palaszewski (36-15) vs. Diego Nunes (17-3)
Darren Uyenoyama (7-3) vs. Phil Harris (21-9)

Preliminary Bouts (on Facebook):
Carlo Prater (30-11-1) vs. Marcus LeVesseur (21-6)
Aaron Simpson (12-3) vs. Mike Pierce (14-5)

UFC on FX 5 Start Times:

Preliminary Bouts on Fuel TV: 5 p.m. ET/2 p.m. PT
Main Card on FX: 8 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT (delayed on West Coast)

This card has flipped on its ear since weighins. Couple notes since two fights have essentially been canceled.

-Dennis Hallman did not weigh-in at all. He passed out during his weight cut (where he was down to 158) and had to have an IV administered. The IV left him 7 pounds overweight, where Thiago Tavares told him he would only fight if Hallman got down to 159. Hallman did, and then Tavares told him to lose another pound, from which Hallman said no.

Hallman later said he is going through some difficult personal problems at home which factored into his current mindset and inability to fight at 100%. The UFC paid him his show and win money and released him from his contract, which Hallman accepted.

Hallman/Tavares is off.

-Jeremy Stephens was arrested this morning and is being held without bail for a felony committed in another state.

Stephens/Edwards is in danger, but it's expected L'il Heathen will be released in time to fight tonight.

If the story I read about Stephens last night is true (it's pretty outlandish,) he might be facing some serious jail time. Everything from aggravated assault to leaving the scene of the crime to cover-up. Some of it was too hard to believe though so we'll wait for the real story. Anybody living in Des Moines can get a copy of the records to confirm though.
