Hey everyone,

It's been since late March that 05-06 Upper Deck Series 2 was released, and I've been working hard at tracking every press plate that has been released. I'll start this post with a few statistics:

487 -- Total cards in the Upper Deck set
4 -- Color versions of each press plate
1948 -- Total number of press plates created
452 -- Plates I've tracked (just under 24%)
0 -- Number of cards to see all four color versions surface

$11.50 -- Cheapest press plate sold (Darryl Sydor / Yellow)
$699.95 -- Most expensive press plate sold (Crosby/Perry Checklist / Cyan)

$77.08 -- Mean press plate sale value
$51.00 -- Median press plate sale value

For those who haven't seen my press plate tracker, here's the link:

The main reason I'm making this post is to ask for some help with proofreading what I've already got on the tracker, as well as checking to see if anyone has any press plate information to add. If anyone has any:

1) New press plate pulls to tell about
2) Press plate sales/trades I am currently unaware of
3) Clarifications/Edits to currently-charted prices or trade information

...or anything else that may be of use to me, be sure to post it here. I'll get as many updates as I can get in my chart, and maybe we can get to 25% -- one quarter of all plates.

Thanks for your help in advance!

Hmmm....I've been enjoying watching Andy's ambitious little project since its inception, and it seems odd to me that not one single card has seen all 4 color variations surface. Frankly that seems more than a little suspicious, especially with so many cards having 3 appearances. Could UD be holding some back for future releases? Perhaps a "buyback" plate version, using ones that were never released to begin with.

There are no doubt a number of plates that have been pulled that aren't on this tracking list, but I still found it curious. A lot of player collectors are sitting on the first 3 for their guy, and perhaps the 4th will never come.

Andy, I believe nroadrunner (Ian) over on Beckett has/had 2 of the other 442 Heatley Plates. I'm nto too sure which ones. I just remember discussing with him about possibly aquiring them to go with the 1 I have. I tried to search the forums for some more info for you, but the new search feature there is ***.

I'm guessing it's just an issue that less than a quarter of the plates have been pulled. Still, I have to wonder who the first "4-plate" player will be!

I know that in 03-04 Topps Pristine, at least one card had all four plates show up. That would be Marian Gaborik.

Jon, I'll try to dig a bit and if I can't find anything, I'll send Ian an email myself. Thanks!
