Not sure if anyone has had any issue like this before but figured I would reach out for some advice. I recently opened up a box and was lucky enough to pull a Kaprizov Rookie auto /25. The back says congratulations etc. Unfortunately when I turned the card over, they forgot to put the sticker auto on the card. I contacted Upper Deck QA but they say that because the box was released in July of 2022 they can't do anything since it's passed a year.

Now I understand if I couldn't get the exact same card so I was fine with a replacement but it seems pretty ridiculous that someone at Upper Deck makes an error and I have to pay for it.

Does anyone have any advice for what else I can do to handle the situation?

I opened 6 boxes over the holidays as a present to myself. First box was 21-22 Upper Deck Series 2 trying to get Red Wings rookies. 0 Young Guns were in the box.

I contacted Upper Deck and they said they HAVE to replace with cards from the same set but because they have none left I was screwed. And then they had the audacity to say 'Happy Holidays'. I was absolutely livid and I still cannot believe they treated me like that.

So frustrated with Upper Deck.

So, I wish I could help you with some advice but really I am in the same boat as I am also looking for advice on what to do. Which I assume is nothing.

I got a bunch of Timmies 22-23 packs as a gift for Christmas. All the cards were in good shape, except the only good pull of the break, a Matthews Flow Of Time with a lot of surface damage. This, after the quality control nightmare of UD Extended 20-21 and UD1 21-22, all my cards from a blaster of Allure 22-23 having damage on the back, and some damaged cards in my SP Legends Signature box.

Thank you Upper Deck, you gave me the motivation to be very picky on wax purchases and focus on selling my lower-end stuff to buy some quality graded vintage.

I stopped buying boxes and cases over a year ago. I just buy singles now. It's the best decision I've made in this hobby.

Total hit and miss with Upper Deck customer service. Sometimes they are great and sometimes it is like we don't care one flip about the collectors that buy their products.

Basically this stinks! Not your fault that UD has not quality control. They should offer you something in return.

Yeah I usually purchase 50-100K a year in sealed product. Mostly for investment purposes and I'll sit on the wax for a long term hold. I'll open a small amount of low end product just for fun. I guess after what I have preordered for 2024 it will be the end of me with Upper Deck. I enjoyed the fact of getting an investment out of a hobby I enjoyed but if this is how they treat customers I can easily get equal or better returns in other avenues.

Best advice anyone can give. UD has made it hard to be a set collector!
