How's this for a horror story: I got a Roy/Brodeur dual auto patch redemption out of a pack of 04-05 Ultimate Memorabilia. Well, I went online and redeemed the card. Upper Deck sent it through Fed Ex and they tried to deliver it twice when I wasn't home. Well, I called Fed Ex on a Monday to tell them I would come pick it up, but they said the last reference of it was Friday evening.
Basically, the card is gone and Fed Ex claims that since Upper Deck sent it and didn't declare a value on it, then there's nothing they could do and even if there was, they said that the money would go to the shipper, who was Upper Deck. I filed a claim, but have heard nothing yet and am under the impression that there isn't much I can do what with the way Upper Deck words the back of the card and with the fact that they pay for shipping with a $0 value.
Anyone have a similar problem or have any ideas how to handle this? I wanted to have the card for my collection to hand down to my children if I have any in the future. Now, I'm just trying to get the money for it so that I can go buy it.
