Saw this on Instagram. Upper Deck is selling their Monumental boxes for $1200 (plus shipping and taxes maybe?) on May 19th exclusively on their online store. Each box will have 5 item, anything from their exclusives such as Gretzky, Jordan etc. to I'm sure other exclusives they aren't as proud of (markelle fultz?)

Anyone have experience buying this at the National? Will this sell out instantly? How many Strome (any of them) signed NHLPA pucks do you think they still have left? How many redemptions?

If they're anything like the ones at the expo, 90% will be a RIP off. They tend to load 5-10% with premium items and the rest are full of stuff they aren't able to sell in their store. Expect a lot of Kevin Love and Aaron Ekblad

For this price, UD should really guarantee some type of value or Group A (big name) autograph item in each box. If you do purchase, please show us the results.

If it is like the expo, they do guarantee you the purchase price in terms of retail value. However, Upper Deck's idea of retail value differs significantly from what others might perceive the value to be. For example, an Aaron Ekblad photo is listed for $90-120 US in their store so that's the value they use. In truth, I doubt anyone is able to sell that photo for that price. I had one buddy who opened three of these at the expo. In one of his boxes the best hit was a William Nylander Mini-Stick autograph which UD claimed had a retail value of $300 US. At the last National, most boxes had a Kevin Love autograph photo which they value at $250-400 depending on the photo. That is largely the type of stuff you can expect to get unless you are lucky and hit a spokesman box which will have all items of that one specific athlete.

Not sure if the site is glitched but I logged on within 30 minutes of receiving the e-mail and it was sold out... hopefully there were buying limits as it would suck if these boxes got the Bowman treatment (Topps released online and the big distributors just cleared out their stock and are reselling on their site for double).
