So who's watching this game?
I know it's not on in the states, big College basketball matchup that needs to be shown :rolleyes:

But I digress.

Any Canadians?

I was making fun of Montoya on beckett, but, it's taking a trip so I'm going to show you all my fun here.

I wish ESPN would die :mad: I am tired of the states not caring enough about hockey to show any games, and honestly, this one is pretty big, they need a win to win the pool, doesn't make sense, but then again...it is ESPN.

If nobody else objects, could you give scoring updates?

you guys just got ROBBED by this czech goalie.
the BACKUP czech goalie.
he's from hasek's hometown, and that save he just made was just like hasek.

Current score is 2-0 Czech, you're on the Powerplay, about halfway through the 2nd.
 
I"ve heard rumblings from some in the college world, that Al has some pretty crappy practise habits. Me thinks his head swelled after last year. Of course, it doesn't help much when the D is also playing like crap in front of you....not a good combo., sieve and crappy D LOL

What was the final in the Canadian blowout today?
 
Pretty impressive performance by that backup - Koutsky(sp?). Americans look beaten sitting on the bench. Chris Bourque seemed pretty nonchalant lounging in the seats also.

But, the goalies are the story basically, good for the Czechs, bad for the US.

Have they said how long Bourque will be out?

Not a good sign when your team looks beaten already, and you are getting less than stellar goaltending.

Wow, another blowout for the Canadians. I think the only team that can beat them right now is themselves.

Woo Hoo :) Fritsche has actually had a pretty good tournament thus far, kid has some wheels too.
 
Bourque is out for a few months - torn ACL

Fritsche just scored for the USA, maybe that will help - he's the only guy whose been consistent for them.

I think the moment that best sums up the USA the last two games is talking about how Schremp stayed on the ice for almost 2 minutes while the other guys was yelling for him to come off. Something isn't right when that happens.
 
Yikes, Boston Univ. is not gonna be too happy losing Bourque for the rest of their season.
 
Controversy begins!
USA almost scores, puck goes off the post, they blew the whistle, puck was under koutsky for a few seconds, whistle blew, koutsky moved, puck came lose (after whistle) and it was put in the net.
No goal.

We continue,
2-1 early 3rd.
 
I've seen quite a few quick whistles in the games I have seen, but it is all part of the game, play goes on, just have to hit a bit inside the pipe next time :)
