I'm usually a big fan of Kevin Allen, but I did find a few things about this list amusing. DET to miss out on the playoffs and seeing CGY in the #2 slot (for Pac Division) was the biggest shocker. And while I don't think VAN is a playoff team this year, I can't see them being the worst team in the league at 65 pts.

Anything else you guys find amusing?

Love my Flames, but I can't see them hitting 99 Points. SJ should win the division, and I expect Flames and Kings will be close. Arizona and Vancouver to battle it out for last in division.

Shocker for me is Habs at 101 points. Funny how 101 also looks like LOL.

Even as a Penguins fan, I don't buy them as President's Trophy winners. It's not like they steamrolled the NHL en route to the Cup. Even as one of the best performing teams from November on, only getting better when Murray came into frame - I know there's going to be injuries that make it impossible. The President's Trophy basically means you run the table during the season out of fortune, and then bowing out in the first two rounds of the playoffs as someone has your number. I would also have the Islanders ahead of both the Rangers and Flyers because unlike this author, I've watched hockey in the last two seasons.

It's also very, very bold to suggest the Ducks won't make the playoffs, and that the Wild will finish ahead of the Blues.

I disagree with a lot of things, but interesting with his projections this is what the playoffs would look like:

CHI vs STL
DAL vs NSH
SJ vs MIN
CGY vs LA

PIT vs NYI
WSH vs NYR
TB vs PHI
MTL vs FLA
