For an European collector, this might make things very hard on eBay if the sellers won't ship internationally anymore. Hopefully this won't come to an effect.

USPS International rate increase

I went to the post office yesterday to send mail. Here are my current results.
All of these were packaged properly and had 1 to 4 cards in them.
USA
1. 1.10 oz at $1.95
Canada
1. 0.80 oz at $3.00
2. 2.10 oz at $3.30
Finland
1. 2.10 oz at $4.56
Now I am not a heavy seller/trader. However even at todays rates its pretty expensive.
I normally charge:
$2.50 for USA
$3.25 for Canada
$4.00 for every where else
Yes I realize it doesn't cover my loss on Ebay shipping fees and my time/materials/gas or paypal fees. Yes I understand I take abit of a hit on the shipping. However I like to think it balances out over the sales and my recycling of materials.
I do everything I can to ship safely and securely and cost affective.
But now your telling me there will be a significant jump in the price for mail coming up....
Well that just hurts my heart... sigh.. and wallet.
I personally never purchase cards that cost less then the shipping. I cant bring my self to buy a $2 card and pay $3.50 for shipping.
But thats just me.

Kind of what I'm thinking...I live near Niagara Falls...maybe the answer for Canada shipping is to cross once a week.
I would pay the shipping charge if it was something I really wanted.
There are several boardies who have mail boxes on both sides of the border. I suspect they will become a bit busier methinks.

Haha, you've still got a couple cards waiting at your mail box in Colorado too... and some credits.
I'll probably do a bit more piling up shipments for a couple friends in Finland too as eBay sellers bail on sending across the pond. No worries though, I'm always glad to help.
But yeah, this is gonna hurt a little. Luckily most the people I deal with on here, I like, so paying shipping doesn't bother me so much. But really, who cares, the world is about to end and all... :laugh:
