"VENOM" getting a stand alone movie

Looks like Marvel has plans of making a Venom movie.

Granted, Venom is a great character, although I think he'd work better with the Sinister Six of the Marvel Universe or in head-to-head combat with Spidey; I just don't know where you take him from here. That's a problem because, if you're not a comic book fan and only know these characters from the movies, why on Earth would you pay to see one of the many villains from the worst Spider-Man movie on his own?

I agree wholeheartedly with that. There's no way they would have Spidey appear as a main character since it would be cannibalism from a marketing standpoint. It'd be like having a Joker spin-off and not having Bat-Man in it.
