I see this seller has almost a dozen sticks listed from Red Wings. I asked about a COA and he said it was lost but still had the Joe Price tag on it. It should still have a Hockeytown Auth Holigram on it. What made me wonder is every pic I've seen shows Zetty with about a foot of red taping on the top (or blue for internat. play) Just a couple things made me wonder. Sure its been 7 years and he could have changed. I want to get a Zetty stick and I always liked the yellow one.

If I'm not mistaken hockeytown authentics used to only give out holograms with auto'd memorabillia or game jersey's. I remember buying a Filppula stick and got no hologram with it. Not sure why that was or if they still do it. I like the sticks but after speaking with the people who run the authentics at the Joe I was told most of the sticks are barely used. Datsyuk will often take 30 sticks and run through several at practice and only keep a few. The rest are sold through hockeytown. I will say though Hank sticks aren't there as often usually only at the end of the year. Good luck, at first glance it looks authentic to me but sticks are a tough call.

I bought a Datsyuk 2 years ago, the one with the 'wind' holes in it, $225. They put a holigram on it and a matching one on the COA. The seller seems to be legit and sells alot of merch on there, I was just thinking for that price, it should have a COA. A couple flags went up, I have several stick cards with that yellow one on it.
I did buy a broken Homer shaft with no COA for $20 at the Joe. I was more happy with that than the Datsyuk lol. I think my plan was to check the Joe and see if they have any available, but the tend to keep some in the rink store too.

Well, the Getty photo he has attached clearly shows Zetty using a stick with a similar tape job, so it is possible. I'm too lazy to dig through photos to see when that photo was from though.

Having said that, he also has a Bertuzzi stick that interested me, but I have my doubts about that one, just as you have yours. Is the 2010 year this season or last? Like wingnut said, it's quite possible most of these sticks are practice sticks anyways. It's so tough to tell with sticks.

The seller has tons and tons of sticks...His stuff is legit...Hes been selling for years. I've never done a transaction with him, but he is very good with communicating and that sort of thing. I think he also gets a bunch of consignment sticks as well.

It seemed to be several things. When I look at the tape on that faceoff photo (on HD) I swear that stick tip/tape looks fiddled with. Its probably just a shadow, but any other Zetty sticks I see only have tape on about 5" right in the middle. Seems players are and always have been picky about the way they tape sticks. The price he was asking would be fine for a stick with a Joe Louis COA, not a COA he made himself. They didn't have any in at the Joe when I went. Every other game stick from the NHL I've seen says "pro stock, no warrenty" but these yellow ones were made for him on Team Sweeden. There are a few sellers who goto the 1/2 off sale and buy up everything to flip on ebay.

The Hockey Auth store in Troy had a ton of preseason jsys and gamers, but very few sticks. I managed to get a Bertuzzi jsy last year, but none of his sticks.

Some of it came down to cost, I could have gotten a Datsyuk pre-season jsy for $450 but I decided to save up for a Zetty gamer.

So, I did some more research and found 3 of Zetty's RC that show the stick blade and they are taped pretty close to what is shown in the auction. The top of the stick seems to have more tape in those ones though. It already sold for $240, which might have been a little high for me anyway, but that yellow stick probably won't come up again soon. I'll try to add them later. There is another on there thats signed for $500 with no Joe COA either.

i have talked with this seller on another site, he seems to legit.

you can check my webshots for some pics of my zetty stick from feb 2010.

Nice! I like the red Eastons, too. I really preferred the Yellow stick he had, but just doing my due dilligence. I have a Datsyuk, two Broken Holmstroms and two Tommy Pyatt's from when he played for teh Saginaw Spirit. I'd like to get his Habs jersey, but been putting it off.
