I miss the AWA. I miss 80's carny wrestling in general. The old promos where they'd start off with "First, I'd like to say a quick hello to all of my fans in Comox" and then proceed to bore you to tears with the injustices they were going to avenge.

Gagne was great. for those of you who were to young. .. I actually saw and met Gagne in person back in the early to mid-seventies. He occasionally would travel witht eh boys out of KC (harley race, bulldog bob brown, rufus r jones and end up in Quincy IL) wrasslin will never be the same without those guys of my youth

Not sure if you guys have followed along with the story, but apparently it wasn't a push...it was a bodyslam. Verne has no short term memory due to the complications of alzheimer's, and it's not known whether it was a legitimate dispute in person, or whether he was having some sort of flashback. He also has no memory of the incident and doesn't know what happened.
I was reading an article last night where Greg was saying he won't remember what happened the day before, but if you hold a conversation with him about his first grade teacher, he'll talk to you about her in length.
Anyway, they're discussing whether criminal charges will be laid upon Verne right now.

Apparantly these two got into it before, and Verne ended up putting the guy in the Gagne Sleeper.
