I would not be concerned about the low feedback based off the feedback he has and the items he sold.

For me, I would not pay that for the Apps. I would like to own one, but not in two pieces and not with the amount of damage on the back. I don't think better scans could even persuade me to spend more then $40-50 in it's condition.
 
I think it is legit based on the back scan

The scans are a bit to be desired but enough evidence there to think it is real

As for the price it depends on your goal.

I bought a Broda and a Karakas for my Goalie RC project and both had the tops missing.

The Broda cost more than that Apps and the Karakas a bit less

Condition for me is not a dealbreaker - a "better" version would cost me a ton more so I can live with poor condition

If I needed the Apps for myself i would probably obtain that one but it is right near my limit for what I think it is worth

A rule of thumb for that may be 5-15% of high BV - just as a guideline

Anymore than $100 I think is definitely not worth it
 
If you want an affordable one then that one screams buy me. It is a little rough but IMO it is priced for that, higher grades obviously cost A LOT more. When will you see another one listed for the same price, probably years. Like the other guys condition is not a deal breaker especially for something old that I want. If you wait then you might luck into one in the $50 range but that one has a fairly solid front. I think he is saying that both parts are intact however it sounds like he is saying that the card is in 2 pieces. Maybe an email to him with a request of better scans could clarify things.

I wouldn't worry about the low feedback as I use my visa through Paypal. If PP don't cover me Visa will :beer:
 
It looks legit to me. I have had a number of cards from that set and they are not easy to come by. I agree that you should ask for better scans and clarify whether or not it is 2 separate pieces. If I wanted one of those I would probably jump on it and then wait for a better one to come along when I could afford it. As for a perspective on pricing, I had a Shore and Connacher with the top missing and I got 100.00 for both. His price is a bit high, but if you want the card...
 
Thanks for the opinions guys, I really do appreciate it. Most of my vintage experience is with C55s so any help I can get with this era I'm grateful for. I definitely don't need one in good condition since I don't have the dollars for that. My main goal is to get an intact one, but this is pretty close to that. After searching for several months, this is the first I've seen on eBay. I'm also glad to see that the consensus is that this is a legit card. I greatly appreciate your expertise gentlemen. I'll let you know how it goes!
 
That card is legit - you need not worry about that.

Price wise.... Let's just say that if I don't see a bid on it with a day left, you can come and look at it anytime you want because you know the directions to the store, and that's where it's going to be.....

BTW - Cross Canada Tour date is last Saturday in March (March 26th).
