Went to a couple card shows over the weekend.Did not buy much in the way of new stuff.
But was able to snag a bit of vintage.Less than perfect condition but for stuff in some
cases that is over 50 years old and I am sure has seen a lot of hands.I was pleased with the condition.
And the last picture is something that likely a lot of people have never ever seen.
Yes it is baseball but hockey was also made in the same way.Just one year later.
For the vintage collectors out there enjoy. Thanks, Winston.

1950 R-423 Mini Baseball

As you can see by the scan below these came in vending machines in a strip of 13 players.
This was the only complete strip that I got in the lot.But I must say it is a pretty nice one.
With Robinson and Gehrig on the same strip. But I dis also get about 65 singles from the same set.
Including Ruth,Cobb, more Robinson, another Gehrig and Musial along with many other stars.

Great stuff as always Winston! I hope all's well with you my friend.
Cheers!

Lu,you will need to make a trip to the East coast. It always amazes me what is still out there when it comes to vintage.I was watching eBay and I notices some 1945 Kellogg's Wheaties cards.A few people even had them still attached in panel of 3.Well they really came in panels of 8 and low and behold at our local little flea market I picked up 6 complete panel of 8.Imagine nearly 75 years old and still in the original panel form that they were produced in back in 1945.
