This came up in my twitter feed, I'm surprised to see it has not been mentioned yet. It's been discussed on blowout forums and twitter.

Apparently a Chinese hobby shop owner found these identical slabs while taking consignments from two different sellers.

Beckett Grading on Twitter (@beckett_grading) confirmed fake slabs exist
on Nov 12.

It now looks like unsavoury characters have found a way to replicate BGSslabs and the labels.

What has this hobby come to, man.

That's brutal. I'm not surprised that this eventually happened, but this stinks.

Lots of people are going to get duped, especially in today's landscape where graded cards are the king of kings right now.

Careful with your commodity cards folks. Serially numbered cards should be safe from this. Seems to be just in basketball from what I’ve seen so far.

I had bought what turned out to be a fake Gretzky PSA 8 RC. It was hard to tell but the slab was split from the side and the print on the PSA insert was a bit grainy, but this is a whole new level of fake.

So are they both fake? How did he happen to get both at the same time? Crazy!

I think one is real and the other was faked to mimic the first copy.

Obviously the faked copy was not supposed to be "reunited" the the real copy, but it happened, making us aware that faked slabs exist in the first place.

I'm no expert on the subject, but from what I've gathered recently in the past day or so, faked slabs have been circulating for awhile now, potentially. Scary stuff for sure.
