So the Caps have signed Kuz for 8yrs, 7.8mil a year. good player, young, just locked him up for his prime good move i think. I have to admit it's taking me some time to get used to how much players are making vs. how few points players on average are getting in todays game. i'm not down on any player for getting paid. good for them if any of us could do it we would. As for the point totals, players are playing their positions better today then yesteryear along with the goalies. which i feel has just tightened up how to evaluate players.
What i would love to hear everyone opinion on is, Washington is now over 70mil caphit and still have one goalie, two defence, and three forwards to sign.. with less then 5mil in the bank...

who is going? cause someone has too. Is it Orpik, older 5.5mil a year would be the smart choice, or is it the unthinkable, is it Ovie?

For me i don't see Ovie being traded, but they have just put themselves in an interesting situation. they are paying more this year and for less with a worse team that is missing 6 players. :brow:

What are your thoughts?

Sean.

They just dealt Johansson to the Devils for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. That cleared $4.6M.

Not a Caps fan, but seems like they had to make the deal to avoid KHL luring him away?

Steal for NJ at that price.
