WATCHMEN trailer is up

The book is amazing and usually picked as the best comic series ever. Back when it was first released it was way ahead of its time, very ground breaking. Its still great today but it don't have the same effect that it had back then. I suggest anyone who have not read it to read it before they see the movie. There is no way that a movie will do this master piece justice.

Which Graphic Novel would you suggest? I haven't read any of the books, but I heard they're great.

It's just 1 graphic novel, that has 12 issues (chapters).

It's simply titled, "The Watchmen" and its by Alan Moore (writer) and Dave Gibbons (artist).

When you read it, I suggest really paying attention to each art panel and background scene. Lots of subtle little hints and cool 'hey, look at that!' type shots throughout every page. It's really remarkable. Some fantastic character development and the story is great.
 
It gets better eveytime you read it ( I have read it at least 5 times). I found it a little tough to get into at first, but once it gets going its great. Don't give up on it, it really is good.

While you are at the book store pickup the first "Walking dead" TP. You won't be disappointed.

i read the hardcover about 15 years ago it was great
 
there hasn't been a remake of the original comic/graphic novel right? I'm trying to find one on ebay but there seems to be a lot of "different ones".. just wanted to make sure I'm getting the original art and story here XD
 
Different covers and prints but it still the same story and art work.

ughh i went to all the local chapters and coles today and couldn't find a single copy of it -.-" Most stores only carry 1-2 copies but I guess they got snagged once the trailer was released.

Wanted to read it right away, guess I'm going on ebay.
 
Its been reported that the Watchmen TP and regular comics have really heated up. Most stores reported that they can't keep the trades on the shelf, one shop reported that he sold 46 copies on Saturday. The deluxe HC have reallly heated up on ebay, its selling for double what it did 2-3 months ago.
 
Yes, they have. I sold my original 12 issues locally for around $300. Compare that with a set I sold a year ago for $70.
 
i just wanna get my hands on one.. apparently its a "hard read" but also "the best graphic novel of all time"
