No not the type your all used to. Wax as in vinyl. This is a amazing concept to me. http://waxpacks.us/
Each 7″ is pressed on black vinyl, colored vinyl (limited to 150 each) and hand-numbered colored vinyl (limited to 50 each).
Each 7″ is then placed in a standard 7″ jacket, featuring identical artwork and shrink wrapped to create random “packs.”
These individual packs (featuring a random record) will be available at independent record stores nationwide (shown here).
Boxes, containing 5 of these packs (guaranteed 5 different 7″ records, one being colored) and a box topper trading card (20 to collect total, featuring each band), are available for pre-order right now at Secret Audio Club.
This first series of Wax Packs will be released on January 28th.
I had to give each band a listen and found 6 or so bands i would listen to so i gave a box a shot. Heck cant be worse than buying cardboard
