R.Bourque Super Collector,
Hey folks,
This year I started to get in to watching basketball due to playing a friend of mines Baskeball fantasy team. We all selected players (8 people) and did a snake draft, in which the league went week to week for playing each opponent head to head.
I decided if I was going to be in this league, I may as well select a team to follow and cheer for, so I decided to go with the Clippers. I remember watching March Madness a few years back and Blake Griffin was a beast.
I took Blake in the first round 7th overall and he was great for me. A couple weeks in I got a trade offer for Blake and another player (forget who), but it still had Chris Paul coming back with some huge depth for my team.
Fast forward to the end of the season and the playoffs and Paul was a huge player for me all season. Ended up coming in 2 place when I knew NOTHING about basketball for the most part when drafting. (lost to the man beast Kevin Love who was a monster the last few weeks of the season-postseason for fantasy however)
My buddy who does this fantasy league yearly got married this Summer and I was the best man in his wedding party along with his 2 brothers.
He went up and beyond for the Wedding party gift and got us all signed Jersey's of the Player who was most dominant on our teams.
The one brother got Kevin Love, the other Howard and myself Chris Paul.
ECSTATIC!
Thanks for the look! And listening to my story.
