Well if this isn't creepy...

Proset Bill Barilko from 91-92 comes to mind too. Was worth a nickle until people realized it was the card referenced in 50 Mission Cap. I think it still gets a few dollars.

Remember the 1994 Pinnacle Turgeon card with Patrick Kane in the background for the Sabres game? That card went crazy after that background was noticed. Still sells decent

Had to go back to my old boxes and found 11 of the Jackson. Sold all 11 in 2 hours on Ebay for $14.50 each. Never a bad thing to find $$$$ in the old common boxes. Still a creepy thing

It's a strange coincidence, but I'm still struggling with how it leads to an increase in value of that proportion... who is buying these things at that price, and why? At least with the Patrick Kane in the background card, one could consider it a Kane collectible... do people really need to have cards of real life murderers?

Serial killer collectors, true crime collectors, horror fans; this card is going to have interest in a number of alternative collecting circles.

No stranger than chicken wing cards in Champs or human hair cards in others, really.

If you can't tell the difference between a chicken wing and a murderer, I don't think I want to go to supper with you... :)

I get it, but still... just have to shake my head and wonder at the incredulity of it.

Can someone explain why it’s taken what 28 years before it was noticed who was sitting court side? Or was it just recently publicized? I would have expected that this would come to light when the trial was going on.

Just seems strange that it took so long before someone discovered this.

Well, not many people really look into the background of common junk cards. So it is possible it was just noticed. You'd think we would of heard of this awhile back if people knew about it (you'd see ebay listings for it)

While I have absolutely 0 interest in owning a card like this, I don't agree with removing it from the site. A shortsighted, sweep it under the rug type solution that doesn't make sense. One quote from the article sums it up well...
“Not quite sure why they are singling this card out when the site is littered with items from every other murderer and serial killer I can think of,” he observed.

Yep I sure there are 100s of examples of the hypocrisy(did I spell that right) I mean you can buy https://www.ebay.com/itm/Gangster-Mobster-AL-CAPONE-Glossy-8x10-Photo-Criminal-Mob-Criminal-Print-Poster/192727460812?hash=item2cdf73abcc
all day but not this Jackson card that happens to have murders in the stands. I pretty sure Capone murdered more than 2 people(even if tax evasion took him down....I believe).

Or this card with the guy on the right being a cereal killer....he prefers Count Chocula...he killed off 4 boxes around Halloween. :D
