My dad is willing to get me a game for Xmas. What should I get. Not looking at games like Last Remanet or Call of Duty 4 because of Brandon Crisp( got addicated, ran away, then was found dead in wilderness)

Gears of War 2

Depending on your age, Gears of War 2 is fun. Depending on whether your parents would be okay with it. There is a bit of violence (as always in first-person shooting), bad language and whatever comes with it.

My boyfriend is checking out Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution through the downloadable demo. It's a strategy game that I don't understand, but he says is cool so far.

Sorry that I can't suggest more. The Xbox 360 library is pretty small right now.

GTA IV ... it seems like it's dropped off everybody's radar with the release of Gears 2 and Fallout 3, but it's still a gem IMO.

Rock Band 2. Best game ever. never gets old. New music every week

GTA IV was a lot of fun but no one plays online anymore. Maybe more will come back once the new episodes get released.

NHL 09. This is the best EA has done with the franchise in forever. Be a pro mode owns.

Gears 2 is a must if you own a 360. NHL 09 is the best sports game period. And GTA IV was very, very fun. So much so that I've picked back up again after beating Gears 2 again.

Why not Gears 1 since everyone is saying Gears 2... Gotta know the back story, and it'll be cheaper than Gears 2 in case you aren't a huge fan.

I agree with Matt. GTA4 is a must have and it's great fun online. If you like hockey then get NHL 09 and you also can't go wrong with COD4 :beer:

Well I'm not sure how old you are but it sounds like Fallout 3 may be to violent and inappropriate (language and some other suggestive stuff) so I would say NHL 09. Also I may get ridiculed for this but the little bit of Lego Indiana Jones I played was quite entertaining.
