I didn't get the two gamer jerseys I really wanted, and of course I was nowhere even close to the 1935 Hawks gamer.... I couldn't go any higher on the two USA gamers I wanted, and now I'm kicking myself for not going after them harder. I also completely brain farted on the one Blackhawk item I was planning on winning no matter what. I accidentally deleted it from my watchlist, and was so focused on the other 3 items I was winning, I just totally spaced it and forgot. And of course, it ended up going for $320 less then what I was willing to pay. :| So bummed about that one, but not much I can do. I called and said if the buyer doesn't end up paying then I would gladly buy it, but I doubt I will get that lucky. So, in the end I am still happy with the 3 items I did snag, and all of them I got for less then what I was willing to pay.

So, here's what I did end up with:

1. Jack Leclair's 1952 NHL Assignment Agreement Signed by Frank Gorman & Hap Day! - http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=77&lotid=474

2. Pierre Pilote's Maple Leaf Gardens NHL Contract File Including 1969 Assignment Agreement signed by Jim Gregory & Fred Hunt - http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=77&lotid=1231

3. Boston Bruins 1970s-Style "Brad Park" Film-Worn Jersey from "The Don Cherry Story" with LOA - http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=77&lotid=971

I am a sucker for contracts, letters of assignment, personal letters from HOF'ers, and pretty much any other NHL documents and correspondence. I'm like a moth to flame with this stuff. The jersey was a total impulse buy, I really enjoyed the movie, I like Brad Park, and Don Cherry is still somewhat entertaining to me (although extremely annoying at times as well). And again, like an idiot, I didn't do my homework as there was another jersey from this movie in the auction and I never even saw it until the auctions ended, and of course it went for less then what I would have paid. :|

So there we have it, would love to see what other HI members ended up winning! Thanks

Some incredible stuff for sale there. The signed letters, programs, and calanders with names like Tim Horton, Bill Barillko, Jacques Plante, and the Leafs stuff like Harold Ballard really excite me. So many other signatures, Apps, Ross, Lord Stanley, Conn Smythe, OMG!!!

I have only bought a few things from Classic a couple auctions ago; a Tretiak Autographed limited edition jersey and one of my favorite things, a game worn Czech Republic Kuba jersy from the 2010 Olympics. But you have to stay on top of those auctions to try to get what you want...and they can drag on forever if they have the 10 minute rule in place.

I was actually in the Don Cherry movie and the jerseys that they used were really nice. Needless to say, the crew watched them like a hawk. I was an on ice goalie for the Bears, Indians and even the Americans. Some of the vintage goalie gear in the movie is from my personal collection. You can see some of it in my avatar when I dressed up as Tretiak in a fun game at the MTS Center here in Winnipeg.

I may still have one of the sticks used in that movie if you would like to add it to the jersey for a display. I think I grabbed (bought) 5 of them at the end of the movie, but I think I sold two of them. I also sold the pads I wore in the movie as well. But I am sure I have a couple of sticks left.

The one thing I did keep, was my Cheever's style mask that was movie worn that the props team got Cherry to sign. Kind of a cool memento from it. Here is a pic from the movie with the mask. Sorry, its a bit blurry, I never took the time yet to get a good still shot. Congrats on the pick-ups.

I ended up with the 99-00 Kelly Chase Blues - last jersey he wore in the league. Had been looking for a Chase for a while -

Now that is cool, you are a movie star! I appreciate the offer on the stick but I don't do sticks anymore. Still trying to get rid of the sticks I have sitting in the corner of my office. :D

Ya, that's it...a star lol!! Don't think so!! No prob on the stick, they are just sitting there and I thought you may be interested after reading the post. Good luck with the rest of your auction hunts.

didnt buy anything but i did sell 4 items in that auctions, 3 Montreal expos gu signed jerseys and a lot of signed baseball, they sold for 1200 combined, not bad

I picked up the lot of five sets of red wings gloves with a set of federovs in it. I was bidding on the yzerman world cup gloves but had to bow out around $1200. They would have been a really cool pickup. I am sure they are the gloves he is wearing on his cup programme of excellence card.
