One Man Wolfpack, ,
I didn't get the two gamer jerseys I really wanted, and of course I was nowhere even close to the 1935 Hawks gamer.... I couldn't go any higher on the two USA gamers I wanted, and now I'm kicking myself for not going after them harder. I also completely brain farted on the one Blackhawk item I was planning on winning no matter what. I accidentally deleted it from my watchlist, and was so focused on the other 3 items I was winning, I just totally spaced it and forgot. And of course, it ended up going for $320 less then what I was willing to pay. :| So bummed about that one, but not much I can do. I called and said if the buyer doesn't end up paying then I would gladly buy it, but I doubt I will get that lucky. So, in the end I am still happy with the 3 items I did snag, and all of them I got for less then what I was willing to pay.
So, here's what I did end up with:
1. Jack Leclair's 1952 NHL Assignment Agreement Signed by Frank Gorman & Hap Day! - http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=77&lotid=474
2. Pierre Pilote's Maple Leaf Gardens NHL Contract File Including 1969 Assignment Agreement signed by Jim Gregory & Fred Hunt - http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=77&lotid=1231
3. Boston Bruins 1970s-Style "Brad Park" Film-Worn Jersey from "The Don Cherry Story" with LOA - http://www.classicauctions.net/Default.aspx?tabid=263&auctionid=77&lotid=971
I am a sucker for contracts, letters of assignment, personal letters from HOF'ers, and pretty much any other NHL documents and correspondence. I'm like a moth to flame with this stuff. The jersey was a total impulse buy, I really enjoyed the movie, I like Brad Park, and Don Cherry is still somewhat entertaining to me (although extremely annoying at times as well). And again, like an idiot, I didn't do my homework as there was another jersey from this movie in the auction and I never even saw it until the auctions ended, and of course it went for less then what I would have paid. :|
So there we have it, would love to see what other HI members ended up winning! Thanks
