What do you think of cards having a border versus cards not having a border? I think it is important for cards to have a border because if collectors pull cards from packs today the cards are identical but with a border they are not because the centering of cards becomes an issue. So if Jack pulls a 50/40 top to bottom & 50/50 left to right & sam pulls a 80/20 top to bottom & 60/40 left to right, who's card is more valuable? Jacks would be & this is what makes it interesting & I think it would bring collectors wanting more base cards.See my point? Just my opinion :)

I'm not crazy about borders, especially when I submit cards for grading via BGS or PSA. I bought a pack of 1975 Topps mini and it looked like whoever was in charge of the printing had been drinking on the job due to the tilting. I only submitted one of the cards in this pack.

and thats exactly why a card with a nice border is so special :)

I agree Trevor & if there were borders if you pulled a big rookie & yours was centered better than 10 to 15 others then your card is worth more. Now with these cards today with no borders & the owner sends them in to get graded they are all about the same grade.Doesn't that flood the market if we have say 40 cards with a grade of 9.0 & if so it hurts the cards value down the road. I say add borders & this will bring the common cards back as being something special instead of just plain old base. Just my opinions.

Sure 40 cards of the same grade can flood the market if they all became available on ebay or all were available at a card show, but the reality is that boat loads of a particular card, especially a base card, end up getting printed so 40 is not a big number; also in reality, the grading of these 40 cards would stretch over a good amount of time to make them available sparingly.
