I've been noticing a few posts of people saying they're taking it slower lately, or focusing on different things, and it made me kind of think what I've been doing lately as well with both my major PC's stagnant.

So does anyone collect other things besides cards (or memorabilia too)??

Lately, my girlfriend and I have gotten into collecting the Nintendo Amiibo figures together. It started when I got her a couple when I went to the midnight launch of Super Smash Bros to pick her copy up for her and decided to be cute and grab a couple of the figures as a nice surprise when she woke up. Now We have a complete set of all of them on the North American cardbacks, as well as some opened ones that she uses in the games.

I also have a pretty large GI Joe collection and collect the EA Sports NHL series games.

Well. I collect debts lol. I do collect autographed jerseys. Only if given as a gift. I have yet to buy one. I recently got Dave Reid on an avalanche jersey inscribed with the cup winning year. I refuse to bug players for autos but do happen to know a few kind folks who always remember me and they get these jerseys for me as gifts. I love to see that the players gave the time to personalize the jerseys with "To Ameet..." Feels kinda a cool.

I am also a sucker for vintage things. I recently acquired a New York City subway fare voucher from waayyyyy back. It's worthless but fun to have as a conversations piece.

I also have a large vinyl collection. Again it's worth nothing but I love the sound of vinyl. Esp old 45s. Wish I had something of value but that isn't the reason I collect these things. I will pas these all to my son at some point.

Sport documentary dvd's/blu-rays, sport biography books and beer coasters.

While none take the place of card collecting, they do keep the brain occupied when the hockey card market slows down.

High end movie action figures. For example ........

LOL I hear ya bro. When my son was born I "had" to sell off most of my 1:1 scale busts and statues. Picture the terminator battle damaged sculpt but as a life sized bust LOL. She made me sell it in case it scared the little guy hehe.

I know the feeling man. My son comes first so I got rid of a tonne of stuff before he came along. No one told me that the toys would take up 2/3s of my home tho.

I did forget to mention another hobby that was forced on to me. My son likes to hide his toys around my house. On Wednesday, during my vacation, he managed to stuff a small toy car into my shoe. I was in a mad rush to get to the pool. I literally threw on my shoes and started to run, only to double over in pain seconds later. The tail of his car wedged in between my toenail and the skin under it. So my hobby has now become, how many ways can I injure myself via a kids toy. LOLOLOOL

This deserves a show n tell bro..

Ameet, you do vinyl?! We need to talk....!

Besides cards and vinyl, I collect horror DVDs, Stephen King books, stoner rock CDs, some currency, and my wife's growing hatred....

I collect fantasy books ( LOTR, Witcher, Harry Potter etc. ), PC games from edition Total War and magnets on fridge from destination where we wos on holiday with my family :)

I used to collect Buffy the Vampire Slayer action figures but I haven't bought more for years. Also the ones I already have are in a box as I have no space to display them at the moment. Mostly because of my books and craft supplies that I keep hoarding.. lol

I collect dust :) At least that's what my wife says hahaha!

I used to collect comics, but I haven't gotten one in a number of years. I also have a bunch of the Star Wars figures from when Phantom Menace came out.

My biggest collection besides cards though would be my Capitals bobblehead collection. The Caps have a deal with INOVA blood services, and give out bobbleheads to everyone who donates at the blood drives they do together. They are rather rare and quite hefty on the secondary market, so I just give blood to feed my collection!
