As much as I want to continue on in this hobby, I've been having serious thoughts about moving my Mike Green collection lately. I'm finding myself in need of money lately, and this seems to be the only thing that would get me what I need. With that said... I have about 230 or so cards in my collection. I don't have the time list them individually, let alone pack them up and ship them. I want to move them as a lot, but I did that once and got royally screwed. This got me wondering. If anyone has ever moved a large player lot, how did you do it? How did it workout? How did you base your pricing if you did sell as a lot? Thanks in advance for any help. Still not sure if I'll go through with this or not, but the answers to these questions will help me further make the decision. Thanks for your time!

I have bought many player collections. I treat them like any collection, it depends on what I can sell them for etc. But you shouldn't sell something if you are not comfy with it. I have walked away from deals because the customer was just not comfy with the price and I'd rather not have someone upset over a deal. Just my two cents. Set a price you want and see if you can get it.
Cheers, I hope this helps.

That actually helped a lot man. Thanks! I'm definitely not that comfortable moving it in general, so I think I'll just hold on for now.

If you're about maximizing prices, break it up piece by piece. If you want to move it all at once, you might not get as much. I did this with my JMFJ collection -- broke it up and moved what I wanted while keeping a few things.

At one point I had a massive Cam Ward collection, and when I decided to sell it off, I pieced it off one at a time, and I made 3 times what I was being offered for the entire collection. The only advice I have, is that if you do sell it off, do it gradually.
