This year has been a year where everybody it seems has opened a lot of product. I was the same way and right now I have between 60-70 thousand singles from this years product alone. I am not one to pick through my singles to pull the star players or what not, I simply put them in 5000 count boxes and than the boxes stack up. I did build a few sets this year so short those and the SP and inserts I am still sitting on all these singles. I have had a couple thoughts about how to get rid of them. But I am not sure any of my ideas will work. I really do not want to just give them away but if I do than I can donate then to our local children’s hospital am sure the kids would like that very much. That being option number #1.I could sell them as a lot and get rid of them in buck. Not sure what the going rate is for singles by the bulk (I am thinking 2-3 cents each). This is option #2. Or I was going to separate them into team lots and than sell them that way. I am sure that there must be at least one collector out there for each team. They would make great cards to autograph at the team’s arena. Or for people who may set up at local markets to sell cards to the kids in their area. I think that if I spent the time to do this option #3 that I may do better financially than option #2.But not sure yet what I will do. If you have an opinion and would like to share it with me than I would be most appreciative of it. Thanks, Winston.

Hey Winston,

I'm all for the IWK idea. I've got boxes of stuff that Warren gave me for my son to go through. That being said, if you were looking to sell them, you'd be lucky to get a penny a piece for most of them, since most people don't want the commons. The team sets work well, and sell pretty good on eBay, but it's awfully time consuming. How many 5000ct boxes we talking about here??

I wonder, I sometimes see bulk packages at wal-mart, target you know, for like $2.99 for like a few hundred cards..I have often thought "If I could find these people (who make these) and deal my bulk singles to them..what a wonderful world it would be...cause I like have upwards in the count of 100's of thousands of cards...unsorted of course..so all the inserts stars and RC's are still in them..(5000 count boxes)..keep us posted....

Sorting is the problem.I have 65 5000 count bxes out with a person right now. There is a lot of older stuff with that lot.Baseball back to about 1956 and hockey from 1967 up.A very small amount of football and basketball. If he got that lot finished I would get him to seperate this stuff into team lots. But we will see.I will keep you posted. It is looking more and more like a truck and a trip to the local childrens hospital.TTYl,Winston.

Good afternoon Rob.I am starting my 15th this afternoon with a case of SP Authentic singles.I would not make team sets.I would just advertse a lot of say 1500 Canadians,or Leafs or who ever.It would save on time that way.I did a large collection of baseball last year and sold team lots off.Went pretty well.Problem we have is shipping. It would cost $10 or more to send 1500 cards.TTYL,Winston.

Winston, well that's alot of cards you have sitting, for now. I would probably sell some and then donate the rest. I do believe player lots would sell better and i'm talking star players and goalies in this case. Good luck with getting rid of the firewood. :p

Btw, if you come across these, or atleast 3 of em, lmk and i can take em off your hands for sure.

2005-06 Fleer Hot Prospects Miikka Kiprusoff 15
2005-06 Parkhurst Miikka Kiprusoff 73
2005-06 UD Trilogy Miikka Kiprusoff 17
2005-06 UD Ultimate Collection Miikka Kiprusoff 16

I think the team lots is a good idea. I know I would throw down a few bucks for devils lots. Also putting team sets from higher end products like triology, artifacts and SPGU on ebay would get you $.10 -.15 per single as opposed to .03 - .05 for one huge lot.
