What to do when the ITG sticker breaks?

So I picked up a card for my PC in an off e-bay deal, with a seller who was very reasonable, and shipped the card quickly, and securely.

The card is a 1/1 from Superlative Bleu Blanc Rouge, and is without question staying in the PC

The thing is, when it arrived, the ITG sticker that sealed the top was broken. The card does not appear to be bending (apparently an issue in some ITG products, which has been discussed in other threads - which apparently has lead to the sticker breaking). But the sticker is broken none the less. I have no intention of troubling the seller, because as noted he was reasonable, and shipped exceptionally quickly, is a known reputable seller and since the jersey piece is practically identical to every other copy of the /9 version of this card I've seen, there is no question as to the legitimacy of the piece.

I have complained in the past about the sealed toploaders used by ITG for Superlative, but I am wondering what options are available? Has anyone ever sent a card in to ITG to have the seal replaced? I understand that in all likelyhood they won't, since they can no longer stand behind the authenticity of the game used piece, but just thought I'd see what your experiences /opinions are.

I have had this problem with alot of Topps encased stuff from football. Never sent one back and haven't found an adhesive that keeps it re-sealed.

Email ITG. They're quite accommodating. In one of the books I opened, 6 of the 7 cards therein had broken seals - ITG resealed them all for me.

I remember reading when superlative came out that ITG would not replace broken seals. I've spent the past little bit trying to find that article again, but alas, I cannot.

On a side note, I did find that ITG will replace damaged from cards pulled from a box, but they will not replace damged cards purchased from secondary sources. Since you bought the card off eBay, its doubly unlilely that they will replace the seal for you.

I did find evidence of it elsewhere on the forum (as in no luck to replace seal):

You have a couple options:

-Enjoy the card outside the confines of the packaging
-Reseal it in some fashion. The ITG sticker is nothing more than a label from Staples with the In The Game logo printed on it.

Obviously, there's huge ethical issues with the second unless you preface any trade or sale by saying it's been restored or resealed.

I don't mind, honestly. I have one back from 03/04 BAP Ultimate that has it's sticker and I'm watching one without the sticker/casing that I still fully intend on nabbing.

I'd say email ITG and ask if they would do anything...explain the situation and see what they say. There is never any harm in asking.
