Hi folks
My brother was lucky enough to pull "Trade Upper Deck" mystery rookie redemption #1 from 2012-13 UD Series 1. I think the original plan announced by UD in November was for these cards to be redeemed for an insert (no auto and no memorabilia) featuring one of the top 3 rookies once the lockout was over. But given the recent announcement that players debuting after the lockout will not get rookie cards until 2013-14, does this mean that the redemption can only be for a player who played last season (e.g. Chris Kreider and not Nail Yakupov)?
Does anyone know if UD has clarified what they intend to do with these redemption cards? If not, is there a good contact at UD someone can refer to?
And if there's no definitive answer forthcoming from UD, should he hold or sell (sells for approx. $100 on ebay)?
Info, thoughts and suggestions appreciated.
