What's the safest way to package & ship 100 base cards

International? Or Domestic?

I usually package base in a little 200ct box or something, and tape the crap out of it and put the label right on the box. I will usually line the inside of the box with thin decoys to protect the base a bit. First class will work if it's under 13oz domestically, or under a few pounds internationally. Otherwise, domestically, Parcel Post would be the next most cost effective.

If you want to be extra careful, place the 200ct box in a larger box with packing peanuts.

I ran into a problem using the 200ct boxes last night when trying to ship a base set of 2011 Goodwin Champions, which is a 150 card base set printed on standard stock. By the time I put in either decoys or extra base, my package was 15.9 ounces, making it too heavy for first class. But the dimensions of the 200ct box, 5x4x3 was too small for parcel post. I ended up having to package it up as a priority package. Maybe the weight of other packing material would have allowed me to keep it under the magic 13oz weight. That will be the key in shipping your cards, keep it under 13oz.

The above was for domestic shipping...

Another way I've done it before if its not a set is use team bags tightly. Then put the team bag in a graded card bag with decoys or extra junk base on top. This usually adds a little air cushion around the corners. Tape the bags together in a 0 mailer.

Done this a few times and not had a problem for US or Canada.
