plain and simple what is going on with the UD company? Three weeks plus and your still not able to contact them by phone, and their not returning emails.

Long and short of it, they don't actually have a customer service staff right now. Bunch of people got laid off/quit, and they're in the process of hiring some new ones. There's even an application on the blog site.

Is that why they said they were closed for a "Company event" there for a long time every time I called???

Thought it was for a good thing...like company picnic or something. Not "Whack the Employees Day". :foottap:

Can't get through to Panini either. ?????? :|

I didn't realize that happened...I was wondering what kind of company event lasts this long? Hopefully they get it sorted out soon. Sucks, they'll have to train a whole new crew of people.

Don't start with me on this. Not only that but I have got emails from Chris Carlin saying that someone was looking into a situation and nothing back. That email got to me over a month ago. I have been waiting on replacement cards since July 21, 2011. I have not heard back anything on a football redemption that they said they would get to as well.

Some more can be explained on their blog post here http://upperdeckblog.com/2012/02/as...ions-stick-kid-update-wayne-gretzky-mail-day/

To be honest to get an answer I wrote a similar post to this on upper deck's facebook page. Within 5 minutes it was taken down and I got that email from Chris. Safe to say, nothing has been done since.

I guess we will all have to ride it out.

Mike

UD sucks, Panini sucks, ITG doesn't have a license (a form of sucking).....

At least they're consistent.

I talked to Chris once a few years back about opening a call centre for UD in Canada. Americans could then go to the US centre and Canadians (I'm sure who would be in the majority) would call the Toronto based (yup!) centre.

I wonder if that would help things along. They'd have to coordinate with Carlsbad...and that's the catch.

by Monday, February 20 customers can now request to have their card exchanged should they wish to no longer wait on them. We are in the process of establishing set values for these redemptions to use in exchanging these cards based on what they have sold for in the secondary market.

"and all this is coming from a multi million dollar company"
this has to be the biggest pile of%$&^ that i have ever heard coming from someone who is in charge of a card company.
how in the world can a company place a value something that they either.

A do not have in their position.
B none of them sold before due to it being a redemption.

It would be a match made in heaven if ITG bought UD.

Brand recognition going to the manufacturer of the best hockey cards on the market. Not to mention UD finally having an owner who would CARE. Best scenario possible. I'll pray for this every night LOL

If ITG had a license would they be able to hire some more graphic designers and keep there stuff from looking dated? UD has the best looking cards by a landslide. Most panini products look cluttered and busy while all ITG stuff looks like high school media students were contracted out to do their designs.

Dr. Price you do have some excellent customer service and the other companies could learn a lesson in that department.

In your humble opinion. Lol

It's past time that we, the collectors, started to take action and voice our displeasure with the NHLPA. I'm sure that many will say that they don't care, UD & Panini have already backed up the Brinks truck. I say rubbish to that. They NEED TO KNOW what is happening with their two hockey card licencees:

Redemptions galore that take months to be fulfilled
Customer service problems up the wazoo
Websites that are horribly maintained
Delays
Collation

We all know what the problems are, but does the NHLPA? Do they have to have occasional update meetings with Panini & UD to find out where things are at? Or do the latter get free rein as long as the cheques clear?

Fixed it for you.
