I am hoping some of you vintage card folk can help me out with this card - my dad turned me on to Frank Brimsek a while back as they are both from Eveleth, MN so I have been putting together some cards as a future gift to my dad - mainly consists of some BTP cards but nothing highend.

Anyway - I saw this card today and have no idea about it - any help is greatly appreciated. I will most likely bid on it as it seems like an interesting piece anyway but I have never seen or heard of a card like this.

Thanks all!
Joe

I have a Wilt Chamberlain Globetrotters card from that same set. At the bottom of the card it says 'Authenticated Ink'. That was the company that made the cards. I believe they were a 2008 release. I think they look pretty cool. The cards span all sports, hockey, baseball, basketball, golf.

If I remember correctly, the back of the card is blank. It's a fairly thick card stock (the thickness of the penny).

Not worth big bucks - I like that too, but a great addition to a collection.

+1 this.

Authenticated Ink and they are all non-licensed. Many of the older cards were bought for the rare penny. The Penny was then removed and resold. Here are a couple more that I have FT. Lots of Hockey in these cards as well. Whoever sells them on eBay is always putting a min bid of 10$. When they get hot, I've seen some of the Hockey go for as high as 30$+. There's even someone who has a Tiger Woods somewhere and wants 75$ for it.

Wow, I didn't realize the prices on some of them. I picked up the Chamberlain for about $5 delivered.

I'm going to have to hunt down a checklist.

Nice stuff.

Yeah - this guy has a whole whack of them but they are all starting at $10 - I think they are pretty intersting and certainly something a little different. Cheap enough for a unique addition.

Wow! You're not kidding. That's quite the selection he has up for grabs.

And with the free shipping, it makes the $$$$ dent not so bad.

Nice stuff.

yeah u can pick most up on ebay for 10$, alot go unbidded. I saw the Gordie Howe hit around 20 + ship, but other then that they usually go for 10$ on 1 bid. Id like to pick up the Leafs one actually just always bad timing when i see them as they are nice oddball items for a collection for sure
