I've read about many an act of hobby kindness on the site and would be remiss if I did not share a story about a deed carried out by a good hearted hobbyist. And indeed I was the benefactor of a huge act of hobby kindness. A quartet of hobbyists from the Isle of Newfoundland embarked on this years Expo. The excursion in TO was enjoyed by all from all the wonderful posts I've read. I enjoyed vicariously like many others through the tales of others adventures at the Expo. Will (AVS20) along with cardboard stalwarts Dean, Harry and George ventured to The Big Smoke to connect with fellow hobbyists and peruse the cardscape eyecandy.

Will was very kind to carry along a special piece of kraft paper with a couple of 80s adversarys and have it's destiny fulfilled for a slightly Bossy dude?! He waited in line sunday afternoon and met a legend. The signer bristled
a little but fortunately the mission was completed and a rare dual sig was complete! Bossy even acknowledged the rarity of such a signing. He and the Great One, that is! I sketched a picture of my hero, Bossy, and The Great One a few years ago and was fortunate enough to have Wayne sign here in St John's while he was attending a TD Bank event. I met Mike Bossy in 2007 during his first and only visit to the Rock. Alas, the drawing was not yet forged into existence so the Expo announcement that the Isles Trio Grande line would be making an appearance peaked my interest and the possibility of Sharpie-ening things up a bit!

Without further adieu my humble offering to share!

Mike & Wayne Inked Immortality .Thanks again Will for helping me complete this dual. The sig is truly Boss! Thanks for checkin in folks. Plenty of Hobby love all around.

Looks like you did a very good job on the sketch. Congrats on getting the signatures on it. It looks great.

It was a pleasure sir... Seeing the finished product was more then thanks enough, getting to hold it as it was completed was a different beast altogether.

One of a kind my friend, one of a kind.

The sketch is pretty unique too

Nicely done Will and J

That is awesome, thanks for sharing your great work and the kindness of this great community.

That was so cool to see. When you really think about it I don't remember seeing any Islanders and oilers auto's on the same cards . Maybe I'm wrong but maybe the rivalry is still felt today from those greats.

Great stuff Justin
