Expo hotel

Just thought I would share that I got the Quality Suites for $49 just now on Hotwire by picking 3 stars and YYZ area. Hope that helps somebody else out since I know most of the HI are staying there, eh.

so the 3 star for 49$ a night is the Quality suites? of course it won't tell you the hotel but that one comes up in my search.

Not bad... that's down the road from the Expo and pretty much next door to the Lonestar if you're in town on the Thursday evening.

yeah, I am still trying to figure out if I want ot drive up on Thur or Friday... Thur would mean that I miss my thur Night hockey game...... :D

Make sure it's the same one - there's a Quality Inn and a Quality Suites that's listed on Hotwire. Then again, I ended up going to the Courtyard about a 10 minute drive away for $30/night on Priceline back in May

It was indeed the Quality Suites at 262 Carlingview Dr and not Quality Inn. Not a guarantee, but since it is the only 3 star option listed for the area, I think it is a safe bet and worth the try versus paying the $100 rack rate.
Definitely a nice snag on the Mariott for $30!! $49 was the lowest option I saw at this juncture.

I got the Hotel Indigo at 135 Carlingview on Priceline for $52/night a couple weeks ago.

Looks decent on their website. Does anyone know anything about this place?

It's now Quality Inn on Islington, which is another 3 kms away from the QS on Carlingview. I'd say they're out of the rooms at that rate.

Very nice price Stephen and the rooms are quite nice too. The wife and I stay there the nights before we head to Mexico or Jamaica. You can get a sweet deal leaving your car in their garage for the week and a room for the night if you have an early flight. Looking forward to taking a break from work and driving down for a day or two for the Expo :). Hope to see you their buddy . - Mike

Expo

Hello all,

Just booked the Hilton Toronto Airport on Hotwire for $69. They list it as a 4 star. I stayed there last year, and aside from the pool being outside (and unusable in November). It was a great place to stay.

see you in a few weeks!

The benefit of the Quality Suites, the Carlingview Hotel, the Marriott, etc., is the stumbling distance from Arizonas ;) Hilton is a bit further, but not too far away. Bring on ze beers!

Which hotels are walking distance from the expo?As well,I'm working on this fall expo so I'm out for that one damn:( but I want to book room sahead of time at the closest ones for next one.Going to take those days off ahead of time next year lol.
Besides since the wife works at a hotel we get the 120 -220$ rooms for 30 or 50 $ all the time.;)
Thanks for any info and have a good one all.Now I'm going to drool till next year lol

Yeah, it's like watching caribou migrate at the end of a Expo day between Arizona's and the hotels. :D  -Mike

That's a little farther away but not all that bad. I stayed there once (accidentally booked there) and it wasn't too bad. They do have free wireless and there's a beer store 2 blocks away.

Anyone cost-conscious that wants a room at the Quality on Islington? I booked by accident and they won't refund. $49/night.

Anyone? I've stayed here before and it's a good hotel... just too far away from the "after-Expo festivities"... may appeal to those who aren't into the libations.
