Hi,

At my local hobby shop, they have these older boxes in stock:

-Parkhurst 2002-03 for 70$Can
-Parkhurst Retro 02-03 for 90$Can
-BAP Update 01-02 for 88$

Which one would you choose?

I know chances are big to get a Jersey and Stick from Parkhurst, with a parallel and a RC.

Chances for a nice GU are better in Retro (Lemieux stuff....), with a RC and a mini RC.

But, I don't know what are the key pulls from Update.

What is your opinion about this?

Thank you,

Guillaume

Prices seem a bit high, have you looked online? Rookie cards in Parkhurst and Retro lean towards Retro, memorabilia cards slightly towards Parkhurst. The differences are slight enough that the $20 price difference could be the deciding factor. Update has alot of lower end RC's and auto's, but seems to be the most overpriced of the bunch. So, for big rookie= Retro, Momorabilia= Parkurst, quantity= Update

I've been able to buy all those products for $60-$65 CDN so the prices seem a little high. However, I do know what its like to be in the situation where thats all you've got. Of the 3, I'd definately go for the Parkie Retro. IMO its the most likely to leave you feeling you got your moneys worth.

Guillaume,

If I had to chose of the 3 I'd probably get Retro however the prices are too high. I think you can get any of the 3 for around $50-60 if you look for em. I know when our local shop has had them in they are in that range. I'd suggest doing a scan of ebay because those prices are on the high side.

You should check ebay Guillaume... I got an Update Box a while back for under $40.

The problem with Ebay is that I don't have a regular access to Internet, I can only use a computer during weekends.

And, many sellers ask to confirm in the 48 hours when winning an auction.

Maybe I should watch BINs and eBay stores.

Thank you for your input everybody!

I was going to say...those prices are crazy high!! Those prices are almost double from what they are here in Toronto. As a matter of fact those boxes were selling for between $35 and $45 Cdn a box at the Toronto expo, it is the expo and all but OUCH....I would stay away from all of them if I were you.

I finally found a few older boxes of Pinnacle products at great prices.

And, it was well worth it...

Pulled, a few sweet things, that you will be able to see in my boxes break post!! :)

Thank you for the information about places to order online, the help is really appreciated :)
