Lots of card with rookies on them.. which are considered the true rookies?
Please cut out the non-rookies and repost the list.. As far as I can tell, these are all of the cards that rookies have appeared in to date for 2008-09

Basically anything that is numbered part of the base set and not a parallel. I also heard somewhere that a general rule of thumb is that anything /100 or less cannot be considered a rookie card but obviously there are some /99 cards that are true RCs.

Personally I do consider parallels of base set rookie cards as being rookie cards, but that is just me.

Inserts are certainly not true rookie cards.

The highlighted are what are generally perceived to be true rookies. Basically, it's any card in the context of a base set. Parallels, inserts and GU/auto are generally excluded unless the base rookies are GU/auto.
 
These are always the true rookies while the rest are odds and ends. Most cases you can only have a player as a Level 1 or as a Level 4 so you can never see the same guy in both sets.

any RC year card that is part of the numbered base set and isn't a parallel. hope everyone here is helping you in some way.

I would also agree with this list. Except for the Ovation card. I believe this is classified as an XRC or something like that. Not a true RC, could be wrong on this but I think that is right.
