Which would you keep

Hey Gang

I'm looking for people's opinion.

I have these 2 cards. which would you keep . The other would get traded.

04-05 SPA quad auto's 20/20
gretzky,dionne,B.clarke,thornton

Card #2
07-08 SPX Flashback Fabrics dual auto jersey gretzky
not numbered but i'm told a very low print run

Tough call. If only the Flashback Fabrics were hard-signed, I'd say that was a slam-dunk winner. But I'd lean towards keeping the quad.

The quad, I think it would keep its value better. It's numbered, hard signed, and comes from a more collected set.

I concur if the Gretzky was hard signed I would keep it. Instead the quad stays

I'd keep the SPA Quad mainly because that is one of, if not my all-time favorite autograph set design.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I will probably trade the spx gretzky. I know this is not the price check forum, but does anyone have any idea what either would book at. I don't have online pricing and both don't book in beckett.

3 thoughts:

1> If the intent is to have a Gretzky auto in your collection then in theory you can't go either way, but...

2> If the SPA has a higher dollar value now (and there's no way saying that anything will maintain its value), then flip it

3> The theme for that SPA card isn't exactly hot stuff - four Canadian captains I'm guessing - that has such a variety that it has so much vagueness. You could easily pick up Dionne, Clarke and Thornton autos for under $20 apiece.

In summary, keep SPx
