Seems like alot of members (including some big buyers) have posted that they are quitting the hobby. How many of you have tried and failed? I have fallin off the wagon at least 3 different times. Twice I have sold off most all my collection only to buy it all back. Just wondering how many others have done the same.

havent fallen off, but I have changed the direction of my collection. getting rid of everything that doesnt fit in my collection. I dont think I could completely give it up.

I haven't tried quitting completely but taking time off(a month or 2) really recharged my batteries. After that time off, I was able to have fun with the hobby again.. It's just a matter of tailoring your collection and collecting habits for me that meant a lot less wax ripping which meant more singles buying. After all the bad rips it was just a sign for me to rip less. I don't think I could quit 100% though that's tough!

im not buying any cards till at least october, so far ive saved enough money over the past 3 weeks to afford myself a nice trip

Up and down. Selling, buying again, selling then buying. After this wave of goods incoming going to save some cash and then start buying again. Hopefully.

I sometimes take a break from the hobby, no trading and pack breaking for like a month, and then, I come back, and enjoy the thing as must as on the first day.

Never thinked about selling the collection.

I have been uninterested with most all UD product this season. I am a huge rookie fan and I thought this would be a great case buying year and I just purchased on of SPX. Other than that H&P boxes here and there. That and I have been buying baseball mostly the past three months of past Bowman products for rookies.

Great season for hockey rookies just sad results from the one company making rookies this year.

Well, I guess I have fallen off the wagon. I'm hoping to get back into the swing of things this winter when hockey starts back up. Haven't been around here in a while.

I think a break every now and then is a healthy thing..I have been busy moving and going thru the process for a new job But I check in a couple of times a week and trade some stuff ..just dabble here and there..it keeps my interest in the hobby alive but also doesnt drown it out either.
Enjoy the summer while its here guys...you will have lots of time indoors during the winter..well those of us in Northern States and Canada anyways:-)
