Who Has The Best Looking Autograph of All-Time?

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to create this thread in honour of all those players who have stepped up the the plate and signed card, after card, after card, so that we collectors can enjoy ourselves and continue to pursue these amazing pieces of cardboard after every release.

I wanted to pose this question to you all: Who has the BEST Looking autograph in the hobby?

Although there have been many beautiful autographs, my vote would have to go to Ed Belfour.

Setting all the statistics aside, "The Eagle" has always had one of the best autos around IMO:

I don't have a scan but Peter Stastny is solid.
I always loved cam neely's

I always thought Bobby Hull, Stan Mikita, and Glenn Hall always have full clean autos that are easily read, not that I'm biased or anything. Maurice Richard always gave you a perfect sig as well.

The first hockey guy that came to mind was Marty McSorley.

I think it's almost a given to pick most retired guys, exactly like the guys above, they always just care more. I'm going to look through my stuff for more current guys.

My guy Vinny doesn't have the best auto, but it is pretty great for a modern player.

I always liked Gordie's bur Rick Martin from Buffalo/LA was the best penmanship IMO.

For current guys, Brent Burns' is pretty nice.

I would go with any of my main PC guys; Jean Beliveau, Gordie Howe, Or Maurice Richard, for best autograph. So many classy sigs from the legends of years gone by. They just took more pride in their autos to the fans and didn't shortcut it like they do nowadays.

Pretty sure most know where my Beli...vote lies but I'll toss a little discussed fella out there (and another small side PC) as one of the best. They just don't make 'em like that anymore.

Beliveau is solid, maybe #2, the Rocket when he was well enough is up there

Many of the older players have great signatures. Lanny has a great one, Bobby Orr, Pierre Pilote...they all have great quality signatures. Gretzky has one of the most recognizable (since he auto-pens most of them).

Seth jones has a great autograph for some of the newest young guys. If it stays consistent, it should stand the test of time.


Cameron Gaunce has a good signature out there, but this was...er...is his regular...not a great example of a great signature but it will be recognizable like Luongo's "RL".

(Ryan Stanton's is pretty nice in comparison.)
